Areas
Tokyo Bay
The bay closest to the Tokyo metropolitan area, with many spots reachable by train and a good supply of managed fishing parks and built-up seawalls. Being an inner bay, swell rarely gets in, and something is in season all year: sabiki fish, goby, flounder and cutlassfish. It is also the area where checking whether fishing is allowed matters most, because so much of the waterfront is closed to entry.
