Privacy policy

Our position

Tsurizukan ("the Service") means this website and the smartphone app of the same name. We treat personal information as something worth protecting, and this policy explains how information is handled in the Service.

What we collect

The Service never asks you to enter information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number or email address. What is collected is the following.

• Access logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, time of access), recorded automatically by the web server
• Usage statistics (which pages were viewed, which features were used in the app). These contain no value that identifies an individual
• Device settings (language, theme). These are used to render the app and are stored on your device

Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to measure how features are used. What is sent is the action taken — which screen was opened, which feature was used. Display names, values that uniquely identify a device, and location data are not sent.

The website may also use an analytics tool. Such tools collect anonymous statistics using cookies and similar technologies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Advertising

The Service may show advertising to cover its running costs.

• Website: third-party advertising services including Google AdSense may be used. These providers may use cookies to show advertising related to your interests. Personalised advertising can be turned off from Google’s ad settings page
• App: Google AdMob is used. In regions that require consent, such as the EU and the UK, a consent prompt is shown at first launch and can be changed at any time from the app’s settings

Affiliate advertising

The Service takes part in affiliate programmes including Amazon Associates, Rakuten Affiliate and A8.net. If a product is bought through one of our links, the Service may receive a commission. Pages containing affiliate links say so on the page. See the affiliate advertising page for details.

Disclosure to third parties

Except where required by law, we do not provide the information we collect to third parties. Transmission to the analytics and advertising services above follows the policies of those providers.

Retention and deletion

Settings stored on your device by the app are erased when you delete the app. Statistics sent to analytics services are retained according to those services’ own terms.

Children

The Service is intended for all ages, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The Service links to external sites. Please refer to each site’s own privacy policy for how it handles personal information.

This policy may be revised as needed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
