About
A silvery-white sea bream marked with golden lengthwise stripes. Its head has a rounded profile and its mouth is smaller than the Blackhead Seabream's. Excellent as sashimi (raw slices).

How to catch it
Caught off rocky shores and breakwaters from the Boso Peninsula southward. Float-and-drift fishing with krill is the standard approach; in western Japan it also takes kishu-zuri, a method using dango bait balls.
